Our Mission
As members of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority Incorporated, our mission is to benefit our respective campus/local community through devoted voluntary service involvement and uphold a high standard of academic achievement in order to promote the education of as well as excel the stance of Latino cultures in this diversely enriched society.
Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. is committed to uniting women through community service involvement and high academic achievement. We come together as sisters, developing strong women and future leaders of the local and national community. Since 1992, sisters of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. have been agents of change in both their respective fields of study and university campus communities.
The outstanding women who form our sisterhood are true paradigms of what it means to be a Señorita.
Community Service
The ladies of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. ensure the quality of life in their areas is improved through the many different community service projects they host and participate in throughout the year.
Cultural Awareness
Our sisterhood is dedicated to promoting understanding and knowledge of various Hispanic cultures and customs in order to help overcome hindrances caused by all forms of discrimination.
Academic Achievement
Above all else, members of our sisterhood strive to further their education. There is a minimum GPA required to join and continue to be an active member of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, Inc. Each member keeps a log of study hours and individual chapters form study groups in order to ensure academic success.
